Blade Runner (Director's Cut)

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Science Fiction & Fantasy
Blade Runner is an excellent science fiction noir - similar in a way to the noir films of like the Maltese Falcon (1941). Its got great style - the soundtrack, film sets- create that ambiance that you're in a surreal futuristic world. We also get to see Harrison Ford - aka Han Solo - in different role - an anti-hero assassin with insecurities about his job. Its not the sort of film that you might like in the first watching- however its a film that ages well and can be revisited. Its got a special beauty to it- a certain sensitivity to life's questions. Why are we here? Who made us? This issue was addressed by the artificial human played by Rutger Hauer Fiery - and the scene where he finally goes- is one of the most poignant moments of the film.

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die..."

Wonder what your last words will be?
