Pulau Aur October 22nd

Wendy and Bernadette, Pulau Aur, November 2007

Went for another quick diving trip. This one at Pulau Aur, the big island opposite Dayang. Its the end of the scuba diving season and it really showed. Rough waves caused the trip to go roller coaster. It didn't help that our diving boat was not fully adapted for scuba divers - more for fisherman.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the main attraction: whale sharks.

I put up more photos on my group's dedicated scuba site:

Heehee, yeah getting mobbed by the black fish was one of the highlights. Hopefully we can get a whole group of ACFers and go diving up North one day.

Christina took 5 photo shots of me - when I thought she was only going to do one. I nearly choked at the end of it.

Yeah, I used the old Fuji F31FD compact camera with the Fuji underwater housing. It worked very well.

Yes its a turtle photoed at an angle. Pulau Aur is next to Dayang. Its ok. But one side doesn't have a jetty so please bring your booties. The trip up there from Singapore is very long. Bring some sweets and a pillow for the journey.
