The clincher is this line:
"Despite his shocking history, the Victorian Adult Parole Board says (the convicted rapist)'s early supervised release is in the interests of the community."
(The rapist) already had a long list of convictions when sentenced in 1998 on 30 counts including six of rape, five of intentionally causing injury, four of making threats to kill and 12 of common assault.
