Hi, I've got a VW 1965 model for sale. No rust. Straight Body. Mechanically - its very sound. It has a recently installed 1641cc engine with quality components like an Engel camshaft, KYB shocks, anti-sway bars, and Mangel 55 chrome rims. The engine was professionally done by John Goodison VWHome company and comes with a full service history that shows I spent over $10,000 on the car. It can go pretty fast even in 2nd gear, not your usual slow VW. A great candidate for a beautiful restoration. Sadly, I don't have the time to tinker with it anymore.
Battery wise- this is the beautiful bit. You can leave it in the garage for over a year- pull it out, turn the key, and it will go. Amazing.
By the way, the speedometer is just about to clock to zero.
