Dark Knight: The Joker

I haven't been a great fan of the Batman comic series.

My dad was. He had the first few Batman comics - then he went to England to do his PhD in Chemical Engineering - and his father decided to move house - and threw out his "junk". Good on ya, granddad you moron.

I also wasn't terribly impressed with the earlier Batman movie. Its supposed to be one of the most realistic takes on Batman - and yet they have that 100 ton batmobile driving over the roofs of slums. Lol.

However, this movie is worth watching because of Heath Ledger- he's gives one of the best performance of a villian ever. He has tremendous screen presence - he's not longer Heath Ledger - he's THE JOKER - a psychotic twisted mastermind.

The other actors also perform admirably - Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman and the guy who plays Two Face - whatshisname.

But worth watching for Heath Ledger. And no, I haven't watch Brokeback Mountain.

Quite a bit of the film drew its inspiration from Frank Miller's Epic Graphic Novel: The Dark Knight Returns. Highly recommended too.
