The awe inspiring performances came from Heath Ledger. He was absolutely brilliant as the psychotic mastermind. You could hardly recognize him. His mannerisms, facial expressions, and that demonic voice.
"WHY SO SERIOUS?"
OMG, give that man an Oscar already.
He's the foil which allows Batman to shine.
