Didn't do any gardening today. The winter wind was howling like crazy outside. It was even hard to stand straight. Doing any gardening will just get you an eye ball of dirt.I finally installed the scanner I bought yesterday. Its a Canon 8800F dedicated scanner; no fax, or printer functions. Never had a scanner before. Its all pretty new to me.
It took awhile as the driver installation didn't seem to work. However, it got resolved by replugging the USB cable. Somehow plugging the scanner in first - before installing the software - caused a driver conflict.
Anyways, I tried to search for this old photo of my family but couldn't locate the particular one.
But I did find a jumble of old photos in an envelope.
That's baby me. That's my (late) father, and my mom. The furniture is still in there btw, lol.
Its 1969. The Vietnam War was getting worse. The hippy movement was in full swing. The Russians were threatening a nuclear war. Singapore had just become indepdendent. A Brave New World.
How I miss my dad. We need his wisdom and presence at this time.
