Pergolesi Stabat Mater: Celebrated for its melodic beauty and intensely expressive harmonic language, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater has been transcribed and arranged by many composers, most notably by J.S. Bach. Drawing on both Pergolesi’s original and J.S. Bach’s transcription, Gloriana presents the premiere performance of Andrew Raiskums’s own transcription for 8-part choir and continuo.
