Sunken Treasure Ships in Malaysian Waters

For over a thousand years, merchant ships have been sailing down the Straits of Malacca and the South China Sea - carrying gold, silver, spices, and beautiful pottery for trade.

There are thousands of shipwrecks littering the bottom of the sea floor. Most probably too deep for a human to dive down to.

But the likelihood of finding a treasure ship filled with precious objects tantalizes me.

Wouldn't you just love to part of a team that finds one of these ships? It'd be awesome if it contained gold but I'd just be happy if it contained beautiful teapot.

I hope that someone will conduct a survey of the sea floor in the region one day - and show us the hidden past and glories of our ancestors.
