Strong aftershock strikes Sulawesi - Manado?
From correspondents in Jakarta | February 12, 2009Article from: The Associated PressA STRONG 6.3-magnitude aftershock struck off the northeast tip of Indonesia's Sulawesi island early today, the US Geological Survey said.The tremor, which followed an earlier 7.0-magnitude quake, struck at 9.14am (AEDT) at a depth of 35 kilometres, the US agency said.There were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage.Earlier today, a tsunami warning was issued after the 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck off the northeast tip of Sulawesi island.The warning was retracted about one hour after the quake hit, according to Indonesia's meteorology and geophysics agency website.
